Dunham House
The Bedford Garden Club maintains the front and side yards of the historic Hezekiah Dunham House on Broadway. Shrubs and flowers are chosen to reflect those of a typical 1832 home. The federal-style building is managed by the Bedford Historical Society.

Bedford Historical Museum Garden
The Bedford Garden Club has maintained a garden behind the Bedford Historical Society’s Museum since 1972. Originally an herb garden designed by Helen Telzrow and others, the garden was moved and redesigned after the Museum built an addition in 2001.
This new garden, which features a raised center bed, has been in place since 2006. A fence was unveiled here in 2017 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of The Bedford Garden Club (and protect plants from hungry deer). Medallions, depicting different aspects of Bedford history, were added in 2018.
Flower Boxes on Historic Union Street Bridge
In 2016, The Bedford Garden Club paid to have flower boxes installed on the stone bridge on Union Street. The Club now sponsors the flowers planted in the boxes each year (when the bridge isn’t under construction), ensuring that travelers can enjoy the view.

Babyland in Bedford Cemetery
The Bedford Garden Club maintains the garden inside the Bedford Cemetery that is dedicated to families who have suffered heartbreaking loss. The Club donates plants and maintains the garden.

The Bedford Community Garden
The Bedford Garden Club also supports the Bedford Community Garden behind Central Elementary School. The garden, founded in 2011 as a result of a grant received by the City of Bedford, features plots for local gardeners, along with water and shared tools. Gardeners new and experienced are welcome.
